New York City concert pianist Sohyun Ahn returns to Island Arts with a beautiful program for our community. Her well-attended concert last season elicited raves, including “outstanding”, “amazing delicacy”, and “world class”.

The program showcases Sohyun Ahn playing solo piano works–the Beethoven “Moonlight Sonata“, Six Pieces for Piano by Brahms , and the Valses nobles et sentimentales by Maurice Ravel which blend Impressionist and Modernist themes.

Local Vermont pianist Eun Hee Park will join Ahn to play the piano 4-hands Dolly Suite by French composer Gabriel Fauré. It’s always a special treat to hear and watch the interaction of four hands sharing the keyboard.
