2010
In 2010 Building Heritage, LLC, of Huntington, VT, was hired by Anne M. August on the recommendation of the Preservation Trust of Vermont to perform a conditions assessment. It was determined that the central timber framed dormer was severely deteriorated and in need of immediate repair. This work, the careful jacking of the two valleys and repair of rotted or missing timbers, was carried out in fall 2010.
2011
In 2011 the entire barn was jacked up, and the foundation and sills on the South and East sides were replaced. Interior posts and beams and floor joists were repaired or replaced, and a new plank floor was installed in the haymow. Siding on the East side was replaced.
2012
In 2012 the siding on the South and North sides was replaced. The North wing was restored with new siding, new roof framing, and roof. In 2013 the Milk House was restored and moved back towards the west. The Granary received new sheathing, floor jacking, and roof repairs.
2014
In 2014 structural restoration had been completed, and Anne M. August gifted the Barn to Island Arts.
